Adverse Religious Experiences Survey
The purpose of this exploratory survey…
is to identify the diverse range of experiences that negatively impact folks within religious contexts. The results of the survey will help us better understand and categorize Adverse Religious Experiences and will inform future research.
Our working definition of Adverse Religious Experiences:
Any experience of a religious belief, practice, or structure that undermines an individual's sense of safety or autonomy and/or negatively impacts their physical, social, emotional, relational, or psychological well-being.

The survey is anonymous and can be completed in 5-10 minutes.
The survey is optional and asks participants to describe their adverse religious experiences which may feel triggering to some, please use your discretion and feel free to opt out at any point.
